Kyohei Fujimoto is currently a Professor Emeritus at the University of Tsukuba, Japan, and is also a Senior Scientist at the Foundation for Advancement of International Science. He has published extensively on the subject of antennas and has written several books including the classic Small Antennas (1986). He is a Life Fellow of the IEEE, a Fellow of the IEICE and a member of Sigma Xi. Hisashi Morishita is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the National Defense Academy, Japan, where he has worked since 1992. His research has long been concerned with small antennas and mobile communications, on which he has so far published many papers in major technical journals. He is a member of IEICE and a senior member of IEEE.
'At last: an approachable book addressing small antennas and their design ... This book addresses the very important area of small antennas with both the theory and a lot of useful practical design information ... Modern Small Antennas helps by providing not only the background theory, but also the practical implementation including: basic theory and fundamentals; design optimization; evaluation; measurements; and simulation techniques.'
