Piotr Butowski is a Polish analyst, journalist and writer who has been dealing with Russian aviation on a professional level for over 40 years. He is the author of around 30 books and countless articles in the world's leading aviation magazines. Starting in the late 1980s, he has attended all major airshows, industry exhibitions and aircraft presentations in Russia as well as international events in which Russia has participated. He has also visited many aviation production and design facilities and military air bases in Russia and met with many important people within the Russian aviation industry.
