Antisemitism refers to prejudice, hatred, hostility, and/or discrimination against the Jewish People as individuals or as a group due to their Jewish identity (World Jewish Congress, 2022). Manifestations of antisemitism often include anti-Zionism (i.e., prejudice against the Jewish People's right to self-determine in their ancestral homeland), scapegoating, perpetuation of false conspiracies, stereotypes, and acts of violence against Jewish people (World Jewish Congress, 2022). Contemporary forms of antisemitism often manifest as movements that disseminate antisemitic rhetoric by attempting to silence Jewish narratives and undermining the Jewish People's multi-millennial-spanning history in Israel (Marcus, 2013).
