Writing as Samantha X, the single mother of two published her bestselling memoirs Hooked (Ebury, 2014) and Back on Top (Hachette, 2017). She outed herself on national TV, gaining fans and critics worldwide, and became the Australian media's go-to commentator and writer on subjects such as women's sexuality after 40 and the emotional needs of men. After a bipolar diagnosis and getting sober, Samantha X retired at the age of 49 and walked away from the adult industry to become Amanda again. Amanda lives at Bondi Beach, Sydney.
