A breathtaking new fantasy world from the award-winning author of The Last Wild. In an empire of vampirs and werwolves, Tibor and Roza are hunting a treasure more valuable than gold ... For readers who loved Katherine Rundell's Impossible Creatures or S.F. Said's Tyger.

'Stop the hunt for your next epic read because this is a treasure of a fantasy book. High stakes, big heart, frightfully good' A.F. Steadman, author of the Skandar series

'Breathless, bold and endlessly imaginative' Jonathan Stroud

Tibor is a werwolf, adopted by his guardian, a powerful vampir. He and his friend Roza are on the deadliest of quests, and one that will test their very immortality. And they're not the only ones hunting for the Midnight Treasure. Battling with bears, wrestling with vampirs and racing against the clock, Tibor and Roza must decide who to trust. And whether they will dare reveal the secrets ... of the Midnight Treasure.

From the award-winning Piers Torday comes this spectacular, irresistible treasure hunt: there will be clues, spells, imprisonments and escapes, fights, betrayals ... but above all there will be courage and hope.

Reviews for Midnight Treasure: An immersive new world of werwolves and vampirs, from an award-winning author

[a] bold and ambitious gothic fantasy. Its refusal to talk down to young readers while delivering a good old-fashioned highbrow quest might invite comparison with Philip Pullman's Northern Lights trilogy or Impossible Creatures by Katherine Rundell. But really Midnight Treasure feels like The Hobbit- with extra fangs and fur... The writing is terrific and Torday has a talent for cliff-hangers... Enchanting. * The Times * Midnight Treasure is a classy take on the vampire and werewolf genres that dives into the myths of Torday's Transylvanian heritage. * The Observer * [a] clever adventure... writerly and skilled. * The Sunday Times * Midnight Treasure is an epic fantasy adventure that will have readers gripped from the very first page. This is a story of trust, truth and what it means to be mortal. With stunning world building, unforgettable characters and a quest with the highest of stakes, this is story not to be missed. * Scope for Imagination *
