★★★★★ ""Author Steven Simmons Shelton crafts a narrative that reads with all the intensity of a psychological thriller while never losing sight of the deeply personal nature of his story. ...The way he describes the influence of his alters and their impact on his life creates an intimate portrait that helped me understand DID in ways that no clinical description ever could.""
