Prof. Shukla Was an Indian mathematician who special□ised in modelling of ecological, environmental, physiolog□ical, and engineering systems. He was awarded in 1982 the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology. Other prestigious awards include the FICCI Award, and the Distinguished Service Award in Mathematical Sciences from Vijnana Parishad of India in 1997. Prof. Shukla did significant work on biofluid dynamics, in particular peristaltic transport of faeces in intestines and on the interaction of biorheological aspects of blood flow and arterial steno□sis. He also made contributions in the areas of popula□tion dynamics and the mathematical theory of epidemics. Prof. Satya Deo Collapsed during an award function just after receiving the Life Time Achievement award in the field of Mathematics from Vijña- na Parishad of India. He had been Vice Chancellor of APS University, Rewa and R. D. University, Jabalpur; and also served the NASI in the capacity of the General Secretary, Treasurer and Chief Editor of National Academy Science Letters. Prof. Deo was the elected Fellow of the NASI in 1991 and the President of the Indian Mathematical Society in 1999. He was a recipient of the Distinguished Service Award by the Mathematical Association of India and the Indian Science Congress Gold Medal by the Prime Minister of India. Prof. Pandey Worked as Vice Chancellor, NGB Vishwvidyalaya, Prayagraj. He also worked as a Professor & Head, Department of Mathematics, University of Allahabad, Allahabad. He was the Founder Fellow & General Secretary, of the International Academy of Physical Sciences. His field of interest were Differential Geometry, Bio-fluid-Mechanics, Vedic Mathematics, Mathematical Modelling and Bioinformatics. He guided around 30 D.Phil. and 1 post doc. He received several awards. IAPS was his dream to serve the society in dif□ferent fields of physical sciences.
