Debra Tidball is a picture book author, social worker, blogger and children's book reviewer. Debra's books 2014 When I See Grandma, illustrated by Leigh Hedstrom, Wombat Books, 2014) won the Children's section Caleb Award, and was shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Book of the Year. And The Scared Book, illustrated by Kim Siew (Lothian/Hachette, 2017) won the SCBWI Crystal Kite (Australia East and NZ); was a CBCA 2018 notable book, shortlisted for the Speech Pathology Book of the Year. Debra's most recent book, Anchored, illustrated by Arielle Li, was published by Exisle Books in 2023. Debra has an MA in Children's Literature from Macquarie University and lives in Sydney with her family. Rae Tan is an illustrator who works mainly with watercolours and soft pastels. Her illustrative style is bold and loose, yet meticulous when it comes to the expression of moods and emotions. Rae holds a BA in International Politics from King's College London and Performance Diplomas for both the piano and violin from Trinity College London. Born and raised in Singapore, she now resides in Perth with her husband and cat, Owen.
