A collection of legends first published in 1978 as 'The Turtle and the Island'. The stories in this edition were originally written down by students at the Lae University of Technology for a student yearbook. They tell of creation, the stars, totems, universal human behaviour, and values specific to particular Papua New Guinean cultures.
