Throughout this book you will see many stunning pieces of art, and read many beautiful works, including essays, stories, histories, poems, chants, prayers, and incantations dedicated to the goddess and Saint, Brigid. She is a goddess who has not just survived the Christianisation of Europe, but thrived since it. She was beloved that she even got her own church and following dedicated to her, the Brigandine sect, that was only up until recently still recognized by the church. Her following has remained dedicated to keeping her energy and flame alive in these modern times. No matter what name you know Brigid by, or how you celebrate this loving goddess, you are one of us, a follower of Brigid, and one of her many, many children. So, let us do the most Brigid-thing of all, join hands and begin this journey together, reading and honoring Brigid as a collective, joined together by threads of love and healing energy.

""This germinal book gifts the reader a vast array of heartwarming, soul-stirring expressions of devotion to Brigid. The sense of dedication from each contributor to the force of nature that is this pre-Celtic goddess is so palpable, so tangible you can almost taste its power.

Brigid's relevance today is vital to the future of our beautiful blue-green home Earth. Our modern lives converge with those of her time though now our battles are climate change and social justice.

To walk with Brigid is a brave step, to hear her call is an act of reverence for the balance and harmony of the Divine Feminine and Masculine - equal but different. She will be our guide and guardian as we remember who we truly are and why we have chosen to incarnate in this pivotal shift in human consciousness.""

Trista Hendren founded Girl God Books in 2011 to support a necessary unravelling of the patriarchal world view of divinity. Her first book-The Girl God, a children's picture book-was a response to her own daughter's inability to see herself reflected in God. Since then, she has published more than 50 books by a dozen women from across the globe with help from her family and friends. She lives in Bergen, Norway. You can learn more about her projects at www.thegirlgod.com. Isca Johnson (she/they) is a mother of 3 and a fur-mama to three cats and a dog. She's been a practicing witch for over 25 years, and her practice is mainly focused on Celtic and Green magick, and she's passionate about habitat preservation and preserving native plants. When she's not writing about her spirituality, she can be found wandering the aisles of second-hand bookstores, thrifting, reading, spinning yarn on her spinning wheels, hiking nearby mountains, and working in her gardens. Isca lives and works in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia. Dr. Karen Ward is a Shamanic Therapist, Supervisor and Teacher. Trained in the Celtic lineage and Druidic traditions, she co-founded the Slí An Chroí School of Irish Celtic Shamanism with her husband John Cantwell. Her women's circles Moon Mná offer online courses incorporating Celtic Rites of Passage inspired by the archetypal energies of the Irish Goddesses. Karen is author of the renowned book Change a Little to Change a Lot 2009, co-editor of Soul Seers - an Irish Anthology of Celtic Shamanism 2019 with eco-activist artist Barbara O'Meara, Goddesses of Ireland: ancient wisdom for modern women and the annual Moon Mná Diary-Journal 2017 to date. She is a Counselling Psychotherapist and Supervisor leading worldwide online workshops teaching her Energy Therapy technique based on Celtic Shamanism to fellow health practitioners. Karen co-rediscovered the Brigid's Way Celtic Pilgrimage in 2013. She was gifted the wisdom to write Brigid oracle cards in 2024. www.brigidsway.ie
