Jaime Osorio (Edited by) Jaime Osorio is a Chilean social scientist who has resided in Mexico since the military coup of Augusto Pinochet and continued to develop the Marxist dependency theory ever since. A graduate in Sociology from the University of Chile, he received his PhD from the Centre for Sociological Studies at El Colegio de M�xico. He is Distinguished Professor at the Autonomous Metropolitan University, Xochimilco, and National Emeritus Researcher at the National Council of Science and Technology in Mexico. He is the author of more than fifteen books--some of them translated into Portuguese and published in Brazil, others republished in Colombia and Argentina--and more than a hundred academic articles. Cristobal Reyes (Edited by) Crist�bal Reyes is a Mexican economist from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and holds a master's degree in Latin American Studies from the same university. He is currently studying a PhD in Latin American Studies at UNAM. He is professor at the School of Economics of the National Polytechnic Institute (Mexico). He is co-author, with Jaime Osorio, of the book La diversidad en el sistema mundial capitalista. Procesos y relaciones en la heterogeneidad imperante (Gedisa, Mexico, 2020).
