Since the publication of Island Hopping in 2018, the demand for Amanda LIndroth’s airy, relaxed, indoor-outdoor aesthetic has soared, and she has completed enough commissions to fill a new volume. Island Dreaming features 20 recent projects, one more enticing than the next. Lindroth brings her signature style of boldly colored fabrics, rattan and cane seating, canopied beds, and straw matting to homes ranging from cozy cottages to grand houses in Lyford Cay, on Nassau; Albany, on the island of New Providence in the Bahamas; Baker’s Bay, on the island of Great Guana Cay in the Abacos; Manhattan; and Palm Beach, Florida. Amanda Lindroth, a graduate of Wellesley College, went from writing about fashion for Women’s Wear Daily’s Eye column in New York to heading up Gucci’s public relations department in London before moving to Nassau, where she opened her design firm in 2010. Since then, she has opened a second studio and a shop in Palm Beach, launched the Amanda Lindroth Home Collection, and began teaching an online interior design course for Creative Academy. She lives in Lyford Cay, Nassau. Dylan Chandler was born and raised, and still lives in, the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City. His work has appeared in numerous publications, including Better Homes & Gardens and the New York Times. This is his first book. Carlisle Burch is a versatile illustrator whose clients are as varied as Serena and Lily, Urban Electric Company, New England Home magazine, and Chateau Miami restaurant. She lives in Phoenix, Arizona.
