AUTHOR: Boyce Thompson is the author of five works of non-fiction, including Lincoln's Lost Colony: The Black Emigration Scheme of Bernard Kock, published in 2023 by McFarland. The book tells the quiet, bloody history of a New Orleans' entrepreneur's attempt to establish a cotton plantation on a deserted Haitian island during The Civil War. It is based on interviews with three dozen owners of new and recently remodeled homes done during the pandemic.
