Veejay (Sylvester F. Steele, Jr.) is the first-born son of a Christian bishop/ordained minister/shepherd/father who-along with the other countless spiritual teachings-would tell him a bedtime story about Elias Dempsey Smith and the founding of the church he served. Veejay's mother was once a member of the local mosque and would impart to him the teachings of Elijah Muhammad. However, both his parents are open-minded people and didn't force the adoption of any doctrine upon him. His parents are also responsible for the diverse genres of music and varied kinds of entertainment that have been a part of his life since his conception. Thus, Deca-Gon, Veejay's stage name and musical persona, is a RAP artist, singer, and songwriter who performs a wide range of music; Veejay, as himself, is a voice actor, aspiring actor, and, obviously, a writer.
