Raja Alem, Saudi journalist, novelist and author of children's books, is considered one of the most important Arabic-language writers of her generation and was awarded several prizes, including the Arabic Women's Creative Writing Prize on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the founding of UNESCO in 2005, the Lebanese Literary Club Prize, in Paris in 2008 and the prestigious International Prize for Arabic Fiction (IPAF) in 2011 with the book The Dove's Necklace, translated into several languages. Giulia Masia is a freelance illustrator. After completing her studies at the IED, she began working for several publishing houses and agencies, including Ferrero, Kinder, TENA, Artribune, San Pellegrino, the Ministry of Culture of Saudi Arabia, Mondadori, Skira and Feltrinelli. With Skira she's publishing the graphic novel Atelier Picasso.
