"""I have known Barry for a long time, and his passion for the Detroit Lions overflows in his latest book. A unique perspective with hope for the fans who feel 2023 is their year."" Mark Champion, Lions Broadcaster 1989-2004, Pistons Broadcaster ""Barry captured the lifetime of frustration 15 years ago, and it culminated with the 0-16 season. I think he hits the nail on the head 15 years later as things have changed in the Lions Den for the better, far better!"" Sean Baligian, Sportswrap 760 WJR ""This book embodies the most impactful and insightful writing about the Detroit Lions since, well since the Eisenhower Administration. A must read! BTB!"" Robert Lincoln, Lions PTSD survivor ""Barry Schumer knows more about the Detroit Lions than anyone I know. He has written about their 'downs, ' which have been historically more than their 'ups.' He sees a new breed of Lions under the auspices of Dan Campbell, the coach leading this newly exciting Lions' Den. Barry's knowledge of the Lions' statistics is amazing, and he breaks down in fine detail, why these Lions are different and are ready to roar again."" Stephanie Sanders, Fan ""This book is a must-read for any true Lions fan. Barry's passion, optimism and knowledge of the team and the NFL game is outstanding. Come along for the ride to the Super Bowl!"" Dr. Len Bayer, Fan ""The Detroit Lions football team is rising from the ashes of history, onto the pages of this book. Readers and fans will have new, exciting memories as our team becomes winners again, as we once were."" Dr. Jim Weintraub, 50YR ticket holder ""Smart, funny, relatable. Barry is an engaging storyteller."" Mark Brode, Detroiter ""Schumer has combined the harsh realities of the past, with the immense hope for our beloved Lions. This book will inspire, inform and entertain. The future is bright, Lions fans!"" Howard Morris, Fan ""Barry captures the passions of a community that is both fueled by and empowers the Lions."" Aaron P. Dworkin, Author, Educator ""Barry Schumer has meticulously documented the destruction, and now resurrection, of the Detroit Lions football franchise. A great read for Lions fans."" Stephen Farkas, Educator/Fan ""I have not enjoyed a book about sports in as long as I can remember, let alone a book about the Detroit Lions. As a female and long-time Lions fan, this sport is not for the faint of heart, and this team, well they have broken my heart many times. Barry's passion and love for this team permeates through his memories and words. Best of all, it makes you remember the thrill of competition, and how it felt the first time you watched your team score a touchdown and how we torture ourselves year after year with renewed hope that THIS could be OUR year. This book is witty, smart, and makes you belly laugh out loud. A truly entertaining read. but more importantly, it instills hope for a future that could one day include a Super Bowl win, from a team that doesn't know the words 'give up.'"" Catherine Danhoff, Fan"
