Madeleine Welton is a mother and eager to help those who have experienced traumatic brain injuries through their recovery processes. Using her own experience surviving a TBI that left her in a coma for twenty-six days followed by almost two decades of recovery, she was inspired to pen this, her first book. She lives in Mississauga, Ontario, with her husband of thirty-one years and shares custody of her younger sons' eight-year-old dog rescue dog, Duke. Duke likes to accompany Madeleine when she is hiking, gardening and especially swimming.
