“This is an excellent book that has approached the topic of cabin safety and its history in a holistic manner and is quite unique in that respect. It is very well researched and explain clearly the origin of the requirements and as such is a very useful reference book. It highlights a chain of design, operational and human factors that need to be considered together in order to achieve successful evacuations: impact protection, fire protection, egress potential, life support equipment, information and instructions, and cabin professionals. I highly recommend it to any person interested in aircraft cabin safety. It is an excellent example of transferring to younger generations the knowledge and experience of the past in a specialized domain.” - Yves Morier, EASA and French CAA ""This is the very first book that delves so far and deep into this subject of cabin safety in aerospace. Most importantly, it leads the reader into. . . everything there is to know about cabin safety. . . It is fun to read as it will lead you through the various twists and turns of this 100 year old subject."" - Rudi den Hertog, FokkerNextGen
