Highway to Your Happy Place is based on a premise that has never been employed before. The majority of human stress is a side effect of our amazing skills. Such as, your skill to envision the future and the side effect of worrying about it.

Worry, Guilt, Regret, Boredom, Low Self-Esteem and Overwhelmed are addressed in an easy-to-read format. Each chapter will give you a better understanding of the problem and easy to use tools so you can have less stress.

The last chapter is about change. I will show you how you can make a change in your life permanently. I have had a 55-gallon drum of stress and this book helped me navigate my potholes. I have shared the insights in this book with my patients for decades and now I want to share this map with you.

Reviews for Highway to Your Happy Place: The Roadmap to Less Stress

"""In the span of getting to know Dr. Gary Sprouse and reading his book, I have been introduced to many new concepts and ideas. His ideas and models for stress reduction are life-changing. You will absolutely love this. A must-read."" - Jack Canfield, coauthor of Chicken Soup for the Soul and author of The Success Principles ""Dr. Sprouse, I was crouched in the corner of my bedroom with a phone and knife, trying to decide which one to use. I could envision the blood spurting from my neck, draining all the stress from my body. You were my best hope. I summoned all the strength I had left and called you. You didn't give me a lecture or a pep talk or get hysterical. You gave me three things I needed: empathy, caring, and a reason to live. I'm still alive this morning because of you and what you taught me about handling stress."" -A Former Patient ""Dr. Sprouse, the 30 minutes I spent with you was more helpful than the 2 years I spent in counseling."" -Robert P., a patient ""After filling out your worry sheet, I felt like a 200-pound weight was lifted off my shoulders."" -Sharon C, Nurse Practitioner ""Dr. Sprouse, you gave me some self-esteem when I had none. You gave me hope when I had none. Dr. Sprouse, you gave me explanations that made sense when everything else was crazy. I'm so glad I met you. I don't think I would be here if it weren't for you. Thank you."" -Betsy H., a patient ""I would highly recommend buying this book to anyone who wants to alleviate their chronic stress. By learning the root cause, I have been able to reduce my stress. One technique I learned was compartmentalization. My mind is clearer and now I can break down my stresses in a way that allows me to handle my anxieties and fears better."" -Cindy, a patient ""This book has changed my life in such a positive way! It has given me easy and practical tools to manage my anxieties, worries, and stress. One of my favorite parts is the Worry Organizer. By objectively looking at the facts around my worries, it has allowed me to worry less."" -Kim, a seminar attendee ""My sessions with Dr. Sprouse have been a breath of fresh air. He inspires me exponentially more than any of my previous treatments. I highly recommend Dr. Gary J. Sprouse as a result of my tremendous progress under his care."" -Gus, a patient ""I loved the book. What it did for me, even before I finished reading it, blew my mind. It began to change a pattern of stress I could not let go of for years. The greater the knowledge, the greater the change. This book is a must-read!"" -Susan, a patient ""The Highway to My Happy Place, Off we go! If you make someone better off because of an interaction with them, you have accomplished a lot.
