Maida Heatter, dubbed ""the Queen of Cake"" by Saveur, is the author of several classic books on dessert and baking. She is the recipient of three James Beard Foundation awards, and was inducted into the organization's Hall of Fame. Born in Long Island and now 101 years old, she lives in Miami Beach.
