Following his military service, Tom pursued a Master of Divinity from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. His other degrees include a B.S. from the Air Force Academy, an M.S. in Systems Management, and a Doctor of Humane Letters. He served as the 15th senior pastor of the historic First Presbyterian Church of Pittsburgh, using his experience and faith to guide his congregation.
