Geneva and the Drift to War (1938) is based on the work of the 1937 session of the Geneva Institute of International Relations, which brought together men and women from all parts of the world to pool the results of their studies in international affairs, their experience of international administration, or their personal knowledge of international politics. Their main conclusion, on the eve of the Second World War, was quite correct in realising the seriousness of the world situation.
