ABBEY'S BOOKSELLER PICK ----- This truly charming book follows Isabelle and her dog Pickle, as they experience the four seasons in the course of a single day. Isabelle has an apple tree, which buds, blossoms, fruits and sheds its leaves, to illustrate the passing of time. What lifts this book to new heights is the inclusion of music from Vivaldi's famous concerto. Real music in the form of sound chips (and surprisingly good quality!) so when the page is turned musical extracts are played. A lovely way of introducing youngsters to one of the mainstays of western classical music! Lindy Jones

-----

Discover what it would be like to travel through the four seasons in one day, following a little girl called Isabelle and her dog, Pickle, as they take on the adventure of a lifetime. As a sign of the changing seasons, Isabelle carries a little apple tree with her, and we see it bud, blossom and lose its leaves. Accompanied by pieces from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, this is the first title in a series of sound books that bring classical music to life for young children.
