Shubham serves as a postdoctoral researcher within the Aerospace Engineering Department at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. He earned his Ph.D. from the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Rourkela and holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, India, awarded in 2018. His research focuses on the quasi-static and high-strain-rate mechanical behavior of fiber-reinforced polymer composites and its finite element analysis. He has contributed to the field with authored research articles featured in esteemed, globally recognized peer-reviewed journals. Bankim Chandra Ray is a senior professor of the Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Department, National Institute of Technology Rourkela. He received his Ph.D. and master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. His research interests include polymer composite materials, phase transformations, heat treatments, and solidification. Prof. Ray’s research centers on the impact of extreme environmental conditions on FRP composites. Currently, he is also the advisor to the TATA Steel New Materials Business and the editor of the Transactions of The Indian Institute of Metals (TIIM).
