He has worked as an international expert in environment statistics, environmental economic accounting, natural resource classification, water statistics, climate change and development, as well as minerals and development. This includes 10 years with the United Nations in New York and Addis Ababa, and another 6 years leading working groups under the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe.
