But it seems that throughout centuries, we have forgotten about this- especially in cultures like mine, where a daughter is referred to as a son and is often treated differently. Yet in her book Esteemed, Jamie manages to take us on a journey through the Bible to remind us that women from the very first page to the end were indeed highly esteemed by the Creator and proved vital to the story of the redemption of the fallen creation.
