Engage Web co-founder Darren has worked in the field of digital marketing since the last century, before Google was the largest search engine and the dotcom bubble had yet to burst. Darren has served as the very first in-house web designer for high street retailer GAME, and has worked with brands such as Sony, The Environment Agency, the NHS and Manchester United.Darren co-founded digital marketing agency Engage Web in 2009 with a view to helping businesses become the authorities within their industry, building a lasting presence online that would grow and strengthen with time. As well as being a keynote speaker, Darren also trains business owners and their teams in the mastery of digital marketing, both from a hands-on and strategic angle. Darren's social media knowledge was put to the test when he used Facebook to trace the identity of a cyber bully, something he has detailed in a TEDx talk at TEDxUoChester.Darren is the self-proclaimed 'funniest man in search' after he won a Liverpool Comedy Festival award, and you can hear his own brand of opinionated content on his weekly podcast 'The Engaging Marketeer' - available on Audible and Amazon Music. Lianne Wilkinson has a passion for ensuring business owners receive the best mentorship and advice possible, having grown up watching her own father's business, and marriage, fail due to a lack of advice.Lianne started out in traditional marketing, working on campaigns for global giants such as Kellogg's. After switching to the world of digital marketing, where she managed national PPC campaigns for companies such as Regus, Lianne also worked in technical research and development (R&D), search engine optimisation (SEO) and served as operations manager for Europe's largest search marketing agency.In 2009 Lianne co-founded digital marketing agency Engage Web, where she utilises her skills and experience to help clients with every aspect of their business strategy.Outside of Engage Web, Lianne has been nominated for awards such as Female Entrepreneur of the Year and Cheshire Woman of the Year. Lianne was also a finalist in the Morgan Foundation New Business of the Year and was part of Goldman Sachs' 10KSB programme.
