Esteban Maroto began his career in the 1960s in Spain but was soon working for American publishers on titles such as Red Sonja, Savage Tales, and The Savage Sword of Conan. In 1971 he joined Warren Publishing working on the titles Creepy, Eerie, and Vampirella. After Warren folded in 1983 he continued working in comics on titles such as Zatanna, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, and X-Men Unlimited.
I found myself entranced by the sheer depth to practically every panel. There's a richness to the detail, and a gruesome starkness only appreciated in true black and white. It's beautiful, mesmerizing, and horrific... This is a must for fans of horror, vampires, and the legend of Vlad the Impaler. -Sequential Tart, 10 out of 10 review
