Deported

Jan Wilson is a communicator, educator and activist. This may be her first published work, but the story flows from a well of writing, talking, engaging about and with people, experiences and community – the messy, wonderful lives of humankind. She has lived in Sydney and the Southern Highlands of NSW but most recently, and for several decades, in Glebe – inner Sydney. Her commitment to people and place strongly frames a life well lived; and a multitude of stories and experiences to be shared with those who know and love her; and those who are meeting her for the first time through this extraordinary story. ‘Jan Deported’ in 1964 was a young woman on a path not otherwise her destiny; creating memories and security files elegantly mined by ‘Jan the Author’ in 2024.
