5 stars I excitedly anticipated that it would live up to my expectations as another great resource from Gordon and Cynthia ByHarvey Masonon August 17, 2015 Format: PaperbackVerified Purchase As I was awaiting for this book to arrive, I excitedly anticipated that it would live up to my expectations as another great resource from Gordon and Cynthia. I had been very familiar with their website LightSpeedSpanish.com (I highly recommend it, as well as their Help Sheets), and I consider this site one of the best for Spanish learners. All I can say is that Gordon and Cynthia have taken something (The Spanish Subjunctive) usually avoided, and feared by Spanish learners, and turned it into something easy, clear, and fun!! In a straightforward and practical manner, with great explanations, plenty of examples, and a TON of exercises, they explain the Spanish subjunctive better than any resource I have come across to date. As a matter of fact, I am going to give a copy to my son's high school Spanish teacher! For anyone who wants to tackle the Spanish Subjunctive, you will want this book! 5 Stars Very well written almost in a story fashion. As ... ByTom Rellsveon August 7, 2015 Format: PaperbackVerified Purchase In the book the mystery of the Spanish subjunctive is folded out and explained in a simple, educational and humorous way. 5 Stars Great book, a must buy!! By Mark Maguire on 29 July 2015 Format: Paperback Verified Purchase The Spanish subjunctive can be very hard to understand and I must say this book laid it out in a way I have never seen before. There are great explanations with examples followed the by lots of exercises to practice what you just read. Gordon first explains his experiences when he started learning the subjunctive which I can relate to and then moves into explaining how he got to understand the difficult parts. I try to buy books from authors from Spain as that's the type of Spanish I study. This book is helping me with that both in my class and at home. I would recommend this as a must buy. 5 Stars By far the best! By J. E. Oliver on 19 Aug. 2015 Format: Paperback Verified Purchase This is by far the best Spanish subjunctive book I come come across. It doesn't just regurgitate what is sais in other books. It is well and logically explained in simple everyday language. It uses great exercises to reinforce your knowledge.By the end of the book I was using the subjunctive correctly and easily (automatically) in everyday conversation on holiday in Cuba. What makes this book particularly special is it explains clearly when the subjunctive is NOT indicated.
