Amy Dowden is a much-loved professional dancer on BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. She joined the show in 2017 after she and her now-husband, Ben Jones, won the British Dance Championships in 2016. They were the first all-British pair to win the championship in over 20 years. Amy started dancing age eight, but it wasn't until she had completed her A-levels that she committed to dancing full-time, making her rapid rise in the rankings all the more remarkable as she was competing against much more experienced couples. Caerphilly-born, Amy is the first Welsh professional dancer in Strictly history.
