She is an associate professor of sociology at Fordham University and is author of Protest and Organization in the Alternative Globalization Era. She was a legislative fellow in the Office of Senator Bernie Sanders in 2012-13, and was a Senior Researcher on his 2016 presidential campaign. She is based in Washington, New York, and Ferrisburgh, VT.
