There are lots of menopause books that tell you what to expect. This one tells you how it feels, first hand, from someone you can trust who's been through it and come out the other side.

'Read

this book! It's so brilliant, it's really going to help you.' Zoe

Ball 'Brilliantly practical,

down-to-earth guide ... It's like sitting down with a good friend who has the

best advice.' Psychologies magazine

The

menopause. An emotionally complex issue that can trigger a whole host of

physical and mental side effects. So why aren't we talking about it? This

is the book that Andrea McLean wished for as she found herself in uncharted

territory, grappling with the physical aftershock of a hysterectomy and the

psychological fallout of a difficult menopause. Typically candid, covering

all you need to know, including tips and tricks on diet, exercise and even

your sex life, Andrea brings her trademark humour and honesty to a very hot

topic.

Readers

love Confessions of a Menopausal Woman-

'Brilliant

read. Warm, funny, inspiring and oh so true.'

'Practical,

honest . . . written in Andrea's comfortable, emotive, humorous,

around-the-kitchen-table style!'

'Reading

this book not only helped me to understand my symptoms but it also helped me

to realise that I am not going through this alone.'

Reviews for Confessions of a Menopausal Woman: Everything you want to know but are too afraid to ask…

Confessions of a Menopausal Woman has given me all the valuable information and insights I need to make an informed decision about HRT, diet and exercise. Reading it felt like talking to my best friend - all the questions I had were answered and I am now a very happy menopausal woman! I highly recommend this book to any woman going through the change. It really does hold your hand through the minefield that is the menopause. * Saira Khan, TV and radio presenter, entrepreneur * As a young-ish woman experiencing the bewildering, unsettling and sometimes extreme symptoms of peri menopause, all I've wanted is to be able to talk to a girl friend who understands the journey. Someone who's been there, seen it, done that. Someone who can hold your hand, tell you not to worry, and reassure you that you'll come though the other side in time. That is exactly what Andrea has achieved with Confessions of a Menopausal Woman. Her warmth and characteristic sensitivity shine through in her honest account of her own suffering - not to be a bleeding heart, but to be a guiding light for other women who are right behind her. Part memoir, part self-help, this book is must-have-menopause-manual for every girl who wants to feel her best in a time of change. * Anna Richardson, TV presenter, writer, mental health warrior * Consider this book a very dear friend as you navigate the menopause... It'll hold your hand through the difficult bits and keep you smiling through the rest. * Kaye Adams, broadcaster * I've bought this book for three of my close friends for Christmas. It's such an honest and refreshing read that really helps you to understand the menopause. * Denise van Outen, TV and radio presenter, actress * Andrea has put her heart and soul into this book ... a bible for all things menopause. * Nadia Sawalha, TV presenter and chef * This book is so perfect! I have bought it as a gift for many of my friends. They have then, in turn, given it to others. It's been written so honestly and carefully by someone I know and trust. No one else has covered all the areas that Andrea does in her book and covered them so fully and in such an appealing and funny way. * Gaby Roslin, TV and radio presenter * Forget the hours of searching for mixed messages on Dr Google - when it comes to the menopause, this book tells you everything you need to know. * Jane Moore, journalist and broadcaster * Invaluable tips and tricks. * Prima * An inspiration. * The Lady * I love this book. Brilliantly practical, down-to-earth guide about how to not only survive the menopause but to thrive too. Andrea is warm, kind and lovely and it's like sitting down with a good friend who has the best advice. * Suzy Walker, Editor-in-Chief of Psychologies magazine * 'A warm and uplifting read that informs and inspires.' Liz Earle * Liz Earle *
