Hebab A. Quazi has been providing technology and management leadership to US federal, state, and city government programs and to industries and utility companies within the United States and internationally. He also provided leadership on programs funded by the World Bank, the United Nations, the Asian Development Bank, and the US Departments of Defense and Homeland Security. He completed programs in Asia, Europe, and North and South America. For over 25 years, he was the President and CEO of a US technology company and vice president of operations for the US operation of a European technology company. He has led multidiscipline teams for innovative solutions for challenging technological issues. His experience also covers research and development and technology testing and commercialization. Dr. Quazi was a director at the AIChE Nanoscience and Engineering Forum and chaired several technical programs on nanomaterials manufacturing. He was also a technical director for the Nanotechnology Assessment and Analysis Program Support for the US Department of Defense. There, he tested nanomaterials-based corrosion and abrasion prevention paints at the US DoD Assets. He was the chairman for the New and Developing Technology Subcommittee at the Fuels and Petrochemicals Division of AIChE. For several years, he was a consulting editor of AIChE’s Chemical Engineering Progress (Monthly). He was appointed by the US Secretary of Commerce to the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee. Dr. Quazi earned a PhD in applied science from England as a Commonwealth Scholar. He also completed a 3-year graduate business education at the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of California. He has written over two dozen industry reports (customer-confidential) and articles that were published in The Encyclopedia of Physical Science and Technology and Project Management: A Reference for Professionals.
