Lance Cole has been a motoring and aviation writer for over thirty years. He has written features and regular columns for leading magazines and newspapers all over the world and is the author of more than fifteen books. He wrote Erik Carlsson's obituary for the Daily Telegraph and has written three books on Saab and began this book, his museum odyssey, at the Saab Museum in Trollhattan. Lance initially trained in car design and motoring journalism. He has also worked as a foreign correspondent, PR, campaigner, researcher, and broadcaster. Lance has repaired and driven classic cars as far afield as East Africa, the Australian outback, and America; he has also undertaken new model development driving for car makers. Old vehicles, old aircraft, artefacts, memorabilia, books and museums are passions, alongside dogs, red wine, Islay single malt, Sea Sick Steve, Breton folk music, the Bachs, and Beethoven. He is married to Anna from Western Australia and currently lives in Wiltshire, England.
