Saved by Grace: A Journey from Addiction to Salvation
In the darkest depths of addiction, salvation found me most unexpectedly. My life was spiraling out of control-three days high and intoxicated, yearning for peace and sleep that eluded me. On an early Easter morning, I felt a divine nudge, a voice whispering, ""Today is the day of salvation."" Desperate and frightened, I heeded the call, despite not having stepped inside a church for over a decade.
Guided to my mother's church, I encountered an old acquaintance who had been clean for over three years-a beacon of hope. Inside, the woman pastor proclaimed that God had changed her message: ""Today is the day of salvation."" These words, echoing what I had already heard twice that morning, pierced my heart.
The pastor's sermon on God's immense love, Jesus' sacrifice, and the cleansing power of His blood stirred a powerful conviction within me. At the altar, I confessed my sins and gave my life to the Lord. Through her prayer, I was set free, born again, and filled with the Holy Spirit. That transformative moment occurred over thirty years ago, and I have remained free from drugs and alcohol ever since.
Reflecting on that pivotal day, I recognize the vital role of women in ministry. Had this woman pastor succumbed to the opposition against her calling, I might have died in my sins. Jesus faced opposition and criticism but persisted, proclaiming His eternal authority.
I am profoundly grateful that this woman answered God's call to preach. Her obedience saved me from destruction and taught me about the love of Jesus Christ. My story stands as a testament to the power of women in ministry. Jesus said, ""You are witnesses of me; go preach the gospel of the kingdom."" Women of God, stand firm in your calling. You have the authority to preach and the power to overcome the enemy. PREACH, WOMAN!
God knew you before you were a gender or sex. God knew you before your father and mother met. God knew you before you were formed in her womb; He knew you when you were a spirit before you had a physical body. God breathed life into you, and you became a speaking spirit.
""Can A Woman Preach?"" She already is-nothing and no one will be able to stop her!
