John Montalbano, a Vietnam War veteran, served in the 1st Cavalry Division and later as a courier for the 93rd Military Police Battalion Headquarters. His experiences have been published in various outlets, including Vietnam Magazine. Raised in Pompton Lakes, N.J., he now enjoys retirement in Coastal North Carolina with his wife, Helen, and their pets. A proud father and grandfather, Montalbano is also a member of the 5th Battalion, 7th Cavalry Association.
