Steve Niles was born June 21, 1965. He is an American comic book author and novelist, known for works such as 30 Days of Night, Criminal Macabre, Simon Dark, Mystery Society, and Batman- Gotham County Line. Niles was born in Jackson, New Jersey, and he was raised in the Washington, DC suburbs, developing various creative interests in music, writing, and making amateur films. He is credited among other contemporary writers for bringing horror comics back to prominence. Dave Wachter began making comics when he teamed up with Jim Clark on the series Scar Tissue. Since then he has abandoned his sanity and his day job in favor of the funny books. He worked on various projects for IDW, including That Hellbound Train, Godzilla, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Night of 1,000 Wolves. He collaborated with Steve Niles on Breath of Bones- A Tale of the Golem for Dark Horse Comics. In 2012 he was nominated for the Russ Manning Promising Newcomer Award. After Cincinnati, then Chicago, Pittsburgh is now the third city in which Dave hangs his hat.
