Born and bred in Melbourne, Dasha is a third generation broadcaster/writer and a graduate of the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. After extensive experience working for most major television networks in Australia, as a reporter, producer and executive producer for programs such as the ABC's prestigious Four Corners and the 7.30 Report, she became a commissioning editor in ABC TV Documentaries. After leaving the ABC, Dasha and her husband, John Pinder, moved to Sri Lanka to relaunch a surfside hotel. Returning to broadcasting her most recent production is the ABC podcast The Day I Lost My Mind, recounting an episode of transient global amnesia and examining its relationship to orgasm.She lives amongst the mermaids, occasional sharks, and human wannabes at Bondi Beach in Sydney.This is her first book; a love letter to her husband.
