Elena is a freelance children's writer whose stories and photographs have been published in national children's magazines. Beyond The Blue is Elena's first children's book, which she was inspired to write after reading Notes Left Behind. Elena is a teacher on Kauai where she lives, and is finalizing the Spanish version of Beyond The Blue for publication shortly. Penny Weber is a full time illustrator from Holbrook, New York.
