Dr Malik is a transplant nephrologist and past medical lead for transplantation at University Hospitals of Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. He completed his nephrology training in the UK and did a renal transplant fellowship at University of Toronto. He has completed clinical research and clinical epidemiology training programmes from Harvard Medical School. He is a clinician, teacher, and is involved in organising courses, as well as question writing for the Royal College of Physicians UK, examiner for PLAB and Warwick Medical School. He has successfully received grants from commercial and charity organisations, and is also a member of the UK Emergency Medical Team.
