Phillip G. Bradshaw, born 1961 of Mexican/Anglo ancestry in Houston Texas, wrote Baile Del Cangrejo in remembrance of the Ranchero music heard in his childhood. While the first guitar was received as a gift at age 16, serious, consistent Classical Guitar instruction began at Miami FIU School of Music in 2007.
