When a wealthy property developer and his family are found dead, Cato Kwong is put on the case - one that will take him to Shanghai and to the heart of a cutthroat game.

The riveting third instalment of the Cato Kwong crime thriller, featuring the troubled Detective Cato Kwong.

When a wealthy property developer and his family are found murdered in their mansion, Cato Kwong is called to the job. The case takes him to Shanghai, and when details of the crime dredge up personal memories, Cato can't help but feel emotionally entangled in the investigation. Hunting down the elusive and brutal killer will take Cato into the heart of the foreign acquisition of Australian land that led the victims to their end. Now he must ask, who else is playing this cutthroat game? And why are they willing to die for it?
