Hidenari Kobayashi received his art degree from Tokyo's Wako University. He studied at the Catalunya State Bookbinder Art School in Barcelona, Spain, and he won the Director's Prize from the National Museum of Nature and Science at the 6th Botanical Drawing Contest. In addition to participating in solo and group exhibitions in Japan, Korea, the UK and elsewhere, his work has been featured in the Hunt Botanical Painting International Open Call Exhibition at Carnegie Mellon University. He teaches botanical art courses at colleges and community centers throughout Japan.
