"Donna I. Morris is a disciple of Jesus Christ and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She has a bachelor's degree in history from Brigham Young University and master's degree from the University of Utah in Education. She taught High School Honors History and coached a high performing speech and debate team for several years until she became a stay-at-home mom after the birth of her first biological child. Rewind to 2002, the year she came home from serving as a missionary in sunny Anaheim California. This was the year she met the love of her life, Geoffrey F. Morris, who came complete with six children. After a beautiful courtship, Goeff and Donna married in the Salt Lake City Temple in 2003. From the beginning of their marriage to the present, Geoff and Donna have had a revolving door with their six kids. In the beginning of their marriage, Geoff and Donna served as long distant parents to their six children who would come throughout the year for holidays and a summer vacation. For the last twelve years of marriage, they have served as full-time parents when their oldest children chose to enjoy their high school experience with them. They learned to balance the needs of full-time kids while the rest of the children visited throughout the year. Later in their marriage they were able to have three biological children (thanks to God's miracles and an amazing IVF team at U of U) together. These children now play with their eight grandchildren! Neither Donna nor Geoff, could ever have imagined the many twists and turns of family life together. They feel deeply grateful for the Lord's guiding hand and strength through the ups and downs that naturally come in this life. Donna has a passion for empowering stepfamilies. She is the author of ""A Practical Guide for the Latter-day Saint Stepfamily: Tools and Tips for Creating a Happy and Successful Blended family."" She wants members of stepfamilies to have as many tools, strategies, knowledge, and tips for success as possible. She is looking forward to creating great content for this website. Donna I Morris is a writer, teacher, former speech and debate coach, stepdaughter, stepmother to six children, mother to three children and grandma to eight grandchildren. She and her husband Geoff and their daughters live nestled by the Rocky Mountains in Salt Lake City, Utah."
