Kotomi Hayashi has been knitting since childhood, and has a passion for trying techniques from around the world. She began designing children's clothing after the birth of her first child. After serving as a craft book editor for a number of years, she started writing her own books on topics like openwork knitting, Scandinavian style-knitting and sock making, and she's been at it for over 20 years. In addition to her books, some of her designs are available on Ravelry.com.
"""Knitters drawn to blends of color and texture will enjoy the new horizons opened by Hayashi's stitch patterns. Those who specialize or create works using the brioche technique will be drawn to this title too."" --Library Journal Life+Style: The Best in Crafts, Cooking, Gardening & DIY"
