The specimens were all identified by Professor Jin Shiyuan, a renowned Chinese medicine expert, mainly from the collection of specimens from the Fourth National Survey of Traditional Chinese Medicine Resources, the collection of specimens from the Chinese Medicine Resource Center, and samples purchased from the herbal medicine market. This book has a total of 390 accompanying images, including authentic historical illustrations, medicinal material characteristics, identification key points, and microscopic identification diagrams.
