The eighteenth century epitomized aesthetic perfection through landmarks like Versailles and the opulence of Marie-Antoinette's court, showcasing Enlightenment ideals of reason and freedom. From rococo to neoclassicism, it marked a dynamic era in arts, design, and literature, whose stylistic codes still inspire contemporary creators. Assouline's Style series, curated by Sophie Motsch and Emmanuel Sarméo, celebrates this enduring influence with captivating images across architecture, art, fashion, and design, capturing the timeless allure of 18th Century Style.
