The Dao Der Jin, also known as the Laozi, was authored by Laozi during the Spring and Autumn periods of the Zhou Dynasty in China. This book consists of 81 chapters and uses concise and profound language to discuss the origins of all things in the universe and the objective laws governing their occurrence, movement, development, and change, as well as the natural laws that they follow. These are absolute truths that all of humanity, especially in the present, must adhere to and cannot violate. In 2005, by the Royal City of Yugu Platform in Ganzhou, the author Yu Guzi (Huang Hao) conceived the idea of unraveling the Dao Der Jin and aspired to write a commentary that everyone could understand. He began by collecting materials and reading extensively, undergoing years of preparation and research. Through comprehending existing resources, he finally started writing in 2017. Over the 18 years since 2005, the author continuously refined his work, and it was only around 2023 that he achieved a deeper insight, entered a more profound level of creation, and completed the Chinese version in June 2023. This bilingual commentary on the Dao Der Jin is not only a fulfillment of the author's mission but also a profound interpretation and elucidation of the Dao Der Jin's supreme value. The author hopes that through comprehensive and fundamental analysis, the Dao Der Jin will become a valuable spiritual treasure for all humanity, achieving the goals of universal harmony, peace on earth, and the ideal of a united world.
