Selected for the CBC November 2024 Hot Off The Press List. ""A twofer! Well these are fun. Hope you like die-cuts, cause this duo is rife with them. Essentially, you get hints about something on one page but have to peek through their die-cuts to see what they actually are. Think of it as a book that teaches you to look at things in original ways."" —Betsy Bird, A Fuse #8 Production, School Library Journal ""I really loved the options presented on the right and that they could all be an option given they all have the image in the cut-out in them! For me as an adult it isn't too hard to figure things out, but for kids I think it will be a bit more of a think rather than an easy pick and that makes me happy. Sometimes these kinds of books are so easy, but this made it extra fun! I loved seeing what was under the cut-out page, see the whole creature(s) and read a bit of an introduction who or what they are! We get a fun selection of animals and plants and that made me smile! I loved the last message on the last page, indeed! What will we find next on our walks, on our journeys~ The art was just the best! Again, I just love how the options were all possibilities I love how everything was drawn."" —Mehsi, Blogger ""This is an interesting set of guessing game titles, using strategically placed cut-outs to encourage kids to guess the answer to various natural objects. Verdict: These won't be for every kid, but they will be fun to spark discussion about perspectives as well as inspiring kids to observe nature."" —Jean Little Library ""We love interactive books here! These two upcoming releases are so engaging and fun! With sturdy fold-out pages and clever die-cuts, these two books challenge young readers to learn more about nature and everyday objects over guessing games! Hide and Seek in Nature: Guess What It Is is full of nature surprises! Could it be a leaf, a beetle, a frog, or mambe a carnivorous plant? Young readers will have fun discovering what's really hiding under each fold-out page!"" —Fun Reads for Kids, IG ""This book will have you guessing, laughing, and marveling at the wonders of nature! Hide and Seek in Nature: Guess What It Is is an adventure where plants and animals are masters of disguise! Each page has interactive cutouts and fold-outs that keep you on your toes, making this perfect for classroom read-alouds or cozy cuddles."" —Read with a Rescue, IG
